Lipari Stars (A Finished Quilt)

A month or so ago, Lynne asked for project suggestions using the bundle of Oakshott Lipari cottons on her blog and to my utter delight she chose my idea. If you'd like to read more about my quilt and read the block tutorial, head over to Lynne's.

I've shared a few photos here as well ;o)

  1. Read about your quilt on Lily's Quilts and had to come over here to comment as well. This quilt is absolutely stunning!! Your choice of the solid colors mixed with those low volumes is so perfect. What color is your background solid? Your quilting accentuates the beauty of your piecing. I'm drooling!!

Congratulations on a simply beautiful quilt!

  3. I've just decided I'm going to covet all your quilts. If I ever get to your neck of the woods, you'd better check my suitcases to see if I've tried to carry a new one off. (Thank goodness I have my wall hanging to lower the level of jonesing.) Gorgeous, gorgeous, as always!

  8. Love love love! Stunning work as always, Jess!! And you've inspired me to get back into my paper-piecing-with-low-volume-fabrics project today. I've worked hard on some Must Dos, so today I can have some fun. Thanks!

  14. This is gorgeous! I am amazed by your use of color and the background low volume prints in the blocks. It makes the stars twinkle even when not in the patchy sunlight. The effect is lovely. Beautiful quilting. Very inspiring ... :) Pat
