Feathers for Kirsten {AusMod Bee}

The queen bee in our Aus Mod bee for May is Kirsten who blogs at Gemini Stitches. Kirsten's blog is one of the very first blogs I started following - she makes really cool stuff. Kirsten chose feathers, using the great pattern by Anna Maria Horner, using Chicopee by Denyse Schmidt. It's going to be an amazing quilt.


I still have to make my Stash bee blocks, but I'm queen for Scrappy Sew Bee It so I get a month off there (which is brilliant!) I got a squishy parcel this morning from the lovely Nicky - my bee blocks for this month, along with some cute little bookmarks (one of which has already been stolen by my 8 year old fanatical reader), and some really cool tissues. Thanks Nicky, they are gorgeous!

    oh gorgeous feathers!! That's such funny timing - I've just sat down for a quick glass of wine and blog-look before getting dinner ready - I've just finished sewing and cutting Kirsten's feathers. (re-sewing and re-cutting the left-feathers ... had a cutting-shocker and had to start again with some emergency-bought extra fabric! ... will blog once they're finished!). I really love the feathers in Chicopee, it's so great to see yours, they look fab. Love those little bookmarks, awesome that your 8 year old is a big reader!

    neato! When I saw the thumbnail in my RSS feed, I thought... what happened to those Popsicles! :D Now that I've seen the whole picture I get it and think they are awesome. :)

    These look amazing Jess - thank you so much! Love the "mini" bookmarks too - we used to have a yellow one when we lived in Melbourne that my Dad drove himself + 3 other guys to work in.
